Sens. Marshall, Moran Announce Almost $80,000 in USDA Funding for Bourbon County

(Washington, D.C., August 13, 2021) – U.S. Senators Roger Marshall, M.D. and Jerry Moran announced a $78,150 USDA Rural Business Development grant to assist Healthy Bourbon County Action Team and their partners as they work to provide training and technical assistance to small startup and emerging businesses. Services provided will include distance learning for job training, feasibility studies, leadership and entrepreneur training, and long-term business strategic planning.

“Through this USDA grant, Bourbon County will be able to bolster local businesses’ success through training and technical assistance,” said Senator Marshall. “Small businesses are the backbone of this nation, and providing entrepreneurs with the training and resources they need empowers rural Kansas to thrive for years to come.”
