Senator Marshall’s Statement on House Impeachment Pursuit of DHS Sec. Mayorkas 

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D., who sits on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, released the following statement on the House Homeland Security Committee’s markup of articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Mayorkas today.

“Secretary Mayorkas’ failure to enforce the law has allowed an unchecked historic invasion of our country,  jeopardizing every American’s safety,” Senator Marshall said. “Not only has he failed to do his most basic duty, protect our homeland, but he has lied under oath, broken the law, and taken zero accountability for his actions that have had catastrophic national security implications.”

“For his role in peddling Joe Biden’s deliberate destruction of America’s borders, I fully support the House Homeland Security Committee impeachment efforts of Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas,” Senator Marshall continued.
