Senator Marshall Releases Statement On President Biden’s New Student Loan Forgiveness Plan

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. released the following statement on President Biden’s new student loan forgiveness plan.

“In the America I grew up in, if you take out a loan, you pay it back, it’s that simple and is a fundamental principle of learning financial responsibility,” Senator Marshall said. “Sadly, Joe Biden’s pursuit to saddle our blue-collar workers with the debts of Ivy League grads, elitists, and lawyers never ends. This is nothing more than a political stunt that the Biden Administration believes will buy young people’s votes. That is what this all comes down to for him – the next election, not the well-being of the next generation.”
