Senator Marshall Releases Statement on House Vote to Impeach Mayorkas
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted on the floor to impeach Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
“We are living in unprecedented times; our sovereignty is at stake, and our security is compromised by the Biden Administration’s historic border crisis,” Senator Marshall said. “The House has taken the appropriate steps to hold the Department of Homeland Security accountable for their failure to do their most basic job: secure our homeland. By impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, we are sending a clear message to this White House that the American people want law and order and deserve accountability.”
“I am a proud supporter of the House’s impeachment efforts and look forward to Mayorkas’ trial in the Senate. He has broken the law and failed to uphold his oath to the American people,” Senator Marshall continued.
