Highlights from Senator Marshall’s interview include:
On Pete Hegseth’s Confirmation Hearing:
“I thought it fell flat that [Democrats] couldn’t get to anywhere on process on the substance of Pete Hegseth and his policies so instead, they went after character assassination. I think what America saw, though, was this person that Donald Trump has chosen, Pete Hegseth, is a modern day patriot. He was sold as a rock today.”
“I think those 77 million people that voted for Donald Trump are going to like the people that President Trump has set forth that these people are the Calvary. Look, we are the modern-day patriots, this is the Calvary, and I think they’re just going to share their heart. They’re going to share their compassion, their passion. These are all very accomplished people, but they love this country and think that you’re going to see that theme over and over again.
On President Trump’s Momentum:
“Across America, we’re seeing this momentum, this excitement that something bigger is happening right now, that this country is staged to go to places we have never been before, and Donald Trump is going to lead us there.”
“It’s a new day in America. There’s hope that hasn’t been there for 10 years… and I’m excited to be part of it.”
