Senator Marshall Introduces Legislation To Ban Airlines Involvement In Transporting Illegal Aliens From Nation’s Capital

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. introduced the End Aerial Invasion Act that would ban airlines from operating at Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) if they are providing transportation of illegal aliens using the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) One Mobile Application for the purposes of identification. 

In recent reporting, migrants have been able to use the CBP One App as a form of valid I.D. at airports, which does not meet the same standard as an official government I.D. that citizens must present when flying. Throughout 2023, over 500,000 illegal immigrants have been registered for the CBP one app either at the border or before being flown into the U.S. from their home country 

The End Aerial Invasion Act would ban this unsafe airline practice and ensure everyone flying has the correct forms of identification to board. 

Senator Marshall’s legislation is co-sponsored by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). 

“The crisis at our southern border worsens every day, threatening our sovereignty and compromising our national security,” Senator Marshall said. “Americans’ safety will always come first; that is why this legislation is so important. Allowing illegal migrants to enter our country and then board airlines free of charge without proper I.D. or vetting is unbelievable. I don’t know how this president, who threatens and undermines our national security at every turn, sleeps at night. The End Aerial Invasion Act needs to be passed immediately.”  

“The fact that over half a million illegal immigrants have been registered via the CBP One App, effectively circumventing the identification requirements expected of actual U.S. citizens, shows just how dangerous and out of control this administration’s open border policy has become,” Senator Lee said.  “Allowing this practice to continue is putting American lives at risk, which is why I’m proud to support Senator Roger Marshall’s long overdue End Aerial Invasion Act to address the loopholes that have allowed illegal aliens to exploit our immigration processes.”
