Sen. Marshall Statement on Joe Biden’s Recession

(Washington, D.C., July 28, 2022) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. issued the following statement after the U.S. economy entered a recession after GDP shrank by 0.9%.

“There is no denying it: out of control spending, increased regulation, and the destruction of our domestic energy industry has led our economy into a recession. This is a sad day for America because this recession was completely avoidable. President Biden and Democrats in Congress inherited an economy that was poised to take off like a rocket – unfortunately, that rocket failed to launch thanks to their reckless agenda,” said Senator Marshall. “Joe Biden’s recession is crushing Kansans and all Americans, and now Democrats are pursuing another massive tax and spend package that will further drive our nation deeper in the hole.”
