Sen. Marshall Hosts SBA Administrator Guzman in Kansas

(Kansas City, KS, October 17, 2022) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. recently hosted Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman in the Kansas City metro area for a series of small business visits. Following a roundtable discussion at El Centro with local business leaders, Senator Marshall and Administrator Guzman toured Mark One Electric and CJ Industries.

“America’s struggles with high inflation and broken supply chains hurts Kansas’ small businesses and their employees, and many small businesses have never had to navigate economic conditions like this before,” said Senator Marshall. “I appreciate members of KCK’s small business community opening their doors up to the Administrator and me. As someone who has run a business, there is no doubt that the conversations we had throughout the day – especially as they relate to the importance of access to capital – will help address the biggest economic challenges these small businesses face today.”

“Small businesses need access to capital and support networks that can help them navigate resources to grow and succeed, and the Small Business Administration is here to help. We heard firsthand from Kansas City small business owners and experts about how we can better support entrepreneurs as they build resilient businesses and create new jobs in their communities. I want to thank Senator Marshall for his leadership and collaboration in advancing small businesses like CJ Industries, La Mega Radio and Parrish & Sons Construction. Together with the Senate Small Business Committee, we’re meeting entrepreneurs where they’re at and helping them to receive assistance when and how they need it,” said Administrator Guzman.
