On Chinese nationals buying U.S. farmland: 

“And just like I’m concerned about the 37,000 Chinese nationals that are wandering around our country, I’m concerned that we’re not keeping track of how much farmland the Chinese Communist Party is purchasing as well. Once again, Joe Biden’s administration has failed. They’re supposed to be keeping track of who’s buying what. In many instances, they’re buying farmland right next to military installations. But the farmland is just the tip of the iceberg.”

“Beyond this, they’re owning different pieces of the food chain. So, for instance, in food processing, Smithfield is now owned by China. They produced 25, they processed 25% of the pork in this country, not to mention, you know, we can talk about intellectual property theft, we can talk about how they infiltrated our research and development in our universities as well. So, this is a big concern for food security.”

On the war against American agriculture: 

“From day one, this administration declared war on American agriculture. This is one small piece of the puzzle. But based upon the amount of regulations that they’ve thrown at us, it’s driven the cost of farming up, not to mention the high interest rates that farmers are very dependent upon, borrowing money to operate their land.”

“So those high interest rates have had an impact as well. American agriculture, for many reasons, can’t wait for Donald Trump to become president again.”
