Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. joined Mornings with Maria on Fox Business to discuss Senate Democrats pushing a vote on Joe Biden’s $106 Billion supplemental package that does nothing to secure our border but hands over another blank check to Ukraine. In the interview, Senator Marshall also discussed his support for House Republicans’ efforts to impeach Department of Homeland (DHS) Secretary Mayorkas, who has failed to do his most basic duty: secure our border and keep our homeland safe.

On Voting Down The $106 Billion Supplemental Bill: 

“We’re going to vote it down. This is going to go down unless there are significant border security changes there. And right now, we’re not even close on that. There is no reason to even talk about Ukraine funding until we see meaningful border reform. I’m proud of our leadership. They’re stepping up, they say we’ve got the votes. We’re gonna vote down cloture.”

“Your audience needs to realize Joe Biden wants his problem. He wants these 10 million people that have crossed the border illegally into this country. He thinks that that’s the future of their party. So he’s willing to sacrifice 300 Americans every day to fentanyl poisoning in order to build his future. I mean, just look at their actions. Oh my gosh. With some simple policy changes, we can make the problem much better. If we would just change the asylum rules alone, we could stop up to 75% of the people crossing the border illegally.”

“Maria, there’s four pieces to this supplemental legislation that Joe Biden is trying to pass, as you described, Ukraine, Taiwan, Israel, as well as the border, we’re no closer to solving that riddle today than we were on October the seventh.”

On Impeaching DHS Secretary Mayorkas:

“I have 1.7 million reasons why we should impeach Secretary Mayorkas and that’s the 1.7 million gotaways. At the end of the day, that’s what concerns me. How many of those people were terrorists? How many of them are aliens of interest? How many of them have committed crimes in this country before? That’s the reason we need to do it.”

“Want to remind you that way back in April, we introduced a resolution of no confidence in Secretary Mayorkas and that went down on party lines on the Senate side, but trying to encourage our friends on the House side. Look, I think that Speaker Johnson is doing a great job. I think he’s locked in on this border.”
