On the Supplemental Bill Failures:

“Leaders set priorities, leaders set goals. I never negotiate with people that don’t share the same goals that I have, that the people I represent have, if you will.”

“My goal, my priority through all this has been to secure the border. President Biden’s goal, his priorities all along are to fund Ukraine. This bill should really be called the Ukraine funding bill. And yes, Joe Biden’s been going through this charade now for several months, but he was never serious about securing the border.”

“Like my colleagues said, Joe Biden could secure the border yesterday. That was never his goal.”

“Look, there is legislation that we would support. We would support a bill that actually secured the border. And though whatever folks are going to hear today, on their social media, on their news, the good news is that Americans figured this out already. They understand that Joe Biden could secure the border yesterday, and then ultimately, come November, the American public gets to decide who is going to secure our border.”

“Under Joe Biden, 10 million people have crossed the border illegally. President Trump averaged less than 1,000 people per day. That’s why come November we’re going to have a new sheriff in town who’s going to secure the border.”
