Sen. Marshall Announces John Mugler as District Director

(Topeka, KS, March 17, 2021) – U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. today announced the hiring of John Mugler as District Director for the state’s 2nd Congressional District. He will be working out of Topeka.

“John brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the office that compliment my mission to serve the people and places of Kansas,” said Senator Marshall. “John has worked within the Topeka and surrounding communities for nearly two decades, and I look forward to working with him to ensure we are meeting the needs and effectively representing all communities in the region.” 

Background:

In his capacity for Senator Marshall, Mugler will be responsible for representing the Senator at meetings and events in the 2nd Congressional District as well as advise the Senator on the needs, issues and opportunities in the region. Mugler joins the team after serving as President and CEO of the Topeka YMCA while overseeing operations at both the Manhattan and Lawrence YMCA facilities. Prior to that he worked in state policy development and was a Congressional staffer for former U.S. Senator Robert Dole. Growing up in Manhattan, Mugler attended Washburn University and received a bachelor’s degree in communication and political science. He currently resides in Topeka and is the father to four adult daughters.
